is taken from a Japanese word which meant "moral".
We don’t intend to preach. We don’t intend to teach. We’re pretty much novices at this ourselves.
But we wanted to learn. Learn to be more responsible about the things we buy, the food we eat, the
effects of our perceived needs and wants. We’re consumers ourselves. Maybe, as insatiable as the rest.
We demand a lot of things to make our lives a bit more comfortable. There are a lot of things other
people tells us to do, but find that not all are possible given life’s demands. So, short on abandoning
our lifestyles, we’re compiling a list of things we CAN do. Learn with us!
We aim to make this site as an information resource on all things that will help make us more responsible
consumers, focusing on three key points that, we believe, encompasses all:
- carbon neutral
- ethical
- organic
Maybe in time, we’ll not get the funny stares at the till when we pull out our reusable shopping bags.
And not get small laughs when we talk about recycling at the office. No more cigarette butts littering
our pretty front lawns. Maybe in time, it will be second nature to do our bit for the world – its
environment and its people.
